COLD BREW COFFEE - everyone’s talking about it, but what exactly is it?
The origins of cold brew date back to the 17th century, and according to the “Guardian” it comes from Japan. Cold brew conquered the USA and Japan as the fashionable drink a good century ago.
But why should you let coffee draw for so long in cold water, when it’s much quicker with hot water?
The slow draw method releases practically all the aromas and the caffeine, but not the bitter and acid substances. Finding just the right beans for this process is absolutely critical, as not all beans are suitable for this very elaborate manufacturing process.
The KOFFEEZ® process: The raw coffee is gently roasted in a traditional drum roast process, then ground and extracted with cold water in a cold brew and drip process for 12 to 16 hours, depending on the coffee beans. This allows KOFFEEZ® to reveal its refined, pure aroma with an exciting body. KOFFEEZ® comes in two different flavours.
